These works areĀ an exploration of the relationship between childhood and motherhood, and the moments in which they coincide. I capture the interpersonal love between a mother and daughter through expressive charcoal drawings and collage. My work comes from a place of love and admiration for my mother, and is an understanding of how childhood and motherhood can intersect. It evokes an essence of memory, innocence, and the nostalgia of growing up, intended to provoke viewers to reflect on their own parental relationships and childhood.
